A Campbell County story.
Kyle Ferris was born and raised right here in Campbell County. His father worked the Eagle Butte and Belle Ayr mines. His mother taught elementary art at Sunflower and Cottonwood. Kyle grew up understanding the value of hard work and the high standards Campbell County expects from the people it elects.
Education & rule of law
He earned his law degree at the University of Wyoming College of Law and came home to serve. To Kyle, the rule of law isn't a slogan; it's the promise that the law is enforced equally for everyone, and that promise is what keeps Wyoming free.
Experience
Fifteen years in the law. Ten in our courtrooms.
Kyle has practiced law for more than 15 years, including ten years as a Deputy County and Prosecuting Attorney here at home in Campbell County. He has prosecuted the cases that matter most to community safety: aggravated assault, child sex abuse, delivery of controlled substances, aggravated robbery, exploitation of vulnerable adults, DUIs, and domestic violence. The defendants he convicted are behind bars today because of the work of Kyle and our law enforcement professionals, first responders, and victim advocates.
Beyond the criminal docket
Kyle's experience runs deeper than criminal cases. He has handled juvenile actions and involuntary commitments, and advised every county-level elected office on civil legal matters. He serves as Wyoming State Bar Commissioner for the 6th District
Community service
Giving back to Campbell County
Kyle knows it can feel more dangerous to live and work in Wyoming than it did decades ago — intoxicated drivers on our highways, methamphetamine destroying families, and violent crime trending up. As your County Attorney, he'll meet that challenge the Wyoming way: holding offenders accountable, standing with victims, and building a safer future for our families, friends, and neighbors.

A letter from Kyle
I was born and raised right here in Campbell County. My dad worked the Eagle Butte and Belle Ayr mines. My mom taught elementary art at Sunflower and Cottonwood. I grew up understanding what hard work looks like — and the standards we expect from the people we elect.
For fifteen years, I've practiced law, and for ten of them, I've served as a Deputy County and Prosecuting Attorney in this community. I've stood in our courtrooms on the cases that matter most — protecting children and vulnerable adults, taking on violent crime, and keeping drugs off our streets. Because of the diligent and thorough work of our local law enforcement, first responders, and victim advocates, the defendants that I’ve prosecuted in the courtroom are convicted and stay behind bars. This is a team effort, and I'm proud to be part of it.
I won't pretend things feel as safe as they used to. Intoxicated drivers on our highways, methamphetamine tearing at families, violent crime trending up — these are real, and I see them every day. I'm running because I know how to meet that challenge, and I'm ready to keep meeting it for you.
I stand on the values that built this county: honesty, freedom, hard work, and community. As your County Attorney, I'll hold offenders accountable, stand with victims, and work every day toward a safer Campbell County for our families, friends, and neighbors.
Ride for the brand,
Kyle A. Ferris
